No rest yet
Just a quick update for those of you that may have been wondering. I’m not back from SXSW yet. Most of you were shocked to learn that I had actually driven from Ottawa to Florida and then flew over to Austin for SXSW. You will not be shocked to learn that we’re driving back, nor will you likely be shocked when I say driving that far twice in two weeks sucks.
I can’t say enough about the people I met this week. I’ll have a few thoughts to post after I arrive at home – but for now, just know that I am somewhere between SeaWorld, Disney, and home.

I drove from Toronto to New Orleans…and back…within the span of one week once.
Yes, it does suck.

Ugh, hope your back survives all of that sitting!!
I once did Winnipeg to Vancouver in one shot. Not fun.

I’ve been keeping up with all of the Flickr feeds and SXSW posts all week, and I’m extremely envious of all of you that were able to attend. I’m hoping that by next year, we’ll be more settled in here in Alberta, and I’ll be able to join the Canadian delegation heading down.

Like Jeff, I’ve also been keeping up with SWSX via Flickr and other sites. I’m hoping in the future I’ll be able to attend and rub elbows with a few people, as I’m sure it would be a great experience.
Looking forward to what you have to share.

If you need a pit stop, feel free to stop for an adult beverage in Gainesville.
Oh, and the word on the street is Malarkey has an appointment to have the steel plate taken out of his knee … or not.
Slainte,
Mark
